the position

The position of Marketing Manager Nordics will carry the responsibility for all marketing activities within the Nordic Region. The Marketing Manager will divide his/her time between being office/home-based and being field-based throughout the region, a 60:40 (office/home-field) split is expected.

The MM works closely together with Medical Affairs, Sales and the marketing function in our Headquarter in Holbæk, Denmark.
The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Nordic Sales and Medical affairs teams and collaborate with the global Medical Affairs, Sales and Marketing function. The position reports to the Nordic Sales & Business Director and carries one direct report – the Marketing Coordinator who is office-based in Holbæk.

The role as Marketing Manager includes a position in the Nordic management team.

Key responsibilities of the Nordic Marketing Manager

  • Marketing strategy: Develop and implement strategic and operational Nordic marketing activities/plans with the prioritized therapy areas in the Nordic region
  • KOL interaction: As part of the process of developing the ideal communication tools & materials, KOL interaction within the Nordic region is required
  • Business planning: Drive the Annual Business Planning process with appropriate involvement and input from other functions
  • Brand solutions: Support the Sales team and Medical team by preparing high quality, patient/disease-focused communication activities, resources and tools aligned with strategy – by adoption of global materials or by local development dependent on the requirement
  • Brand performance: Monitor brand performance and marketing effectiveness through a variety of qualitative and quantitative data sources and take appropriate action in close collaboration with the Nordic Management Team
  • Budget management: Monitor and manage their marketing budget
  • Project Management: Ensure relevant projects are delivered according to the operational plan
  • Market research: Develop and execute Market Research within the Nordic Region
  • Leadership: Contribute to the overall success of the Nordic organization and delivery of the P&L as part of the management team
  • Code of conduct: Ensure Pharmacosmos Nordic acts within Code of Conduct in all Nordic countries, even though the company is not a member of LIF/ENLI or equivalent

The Candidate

The Nordic Marketing Manager should preferably meet the following professional and personal skills:

  • Formal education at BSc or MSc level (Business Administration or Scientific)
  • Experienced (+1-2 years) within Pharma industry in a marketing role, preferably Nordic
  • Proven track-record within Pharmaceutical marketing to hospitals
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen
  • Experience from Medical Affairs and/or Sales is an advantag
  • Language skills:
    • English at negotiation level both verbal and in writing
    • Native in a Scandinavian language

About 60 days a year. The position covers the Nordic Region (DK, SE, NO, FI, IS), however the traveling is mostly within Scandinavia (DK, SE and NO). The position requires significant travel visiting customers and attending international congresses, local scientific meetings within the Nordic Region and internal meetings within the Nordic Region. It is expected that 40% of your time will be spent travelling. The rest of the time is spent at the office in Holbæk/home base.
