The Position


Pharmacosmos wishes to employ a highly qualified and experienced International Sales & Business Director (ISBD) in the Human Iron Business Unit.

The ISBD is responsible for sales and business development in the assigned markets and regions. The sales responsibility entails all commercial activities needed to support partners and management of partners to maximise sales results. Business Development include all activities related to partner selection, change of partnerships and manage the cross departmental process until registration and successful commercialisation of brands/products.

Job Responsibilities


  • Responsible for sales in the assigned markets and regions. 
  • Overall it is the responsibility to develop strategies, tactics and Monofer® launch plans in close cooperation with partners based on Pharmacosmos’ global sales strategy and corporate branding concept. The goal is to maximize sales of Monofer® and achieve a regional value market share of minimum 30% for Monofer®
  • Business Development for those important markets where Monofer® has not yet been commercialised, including mapping the market and market opportunity for Monofer® including Pharmacosmos Go-Direct and a partner business model, identifying possible partner candidates, promoting the Monofer® opportunity to possible partners, discussing business case, term sheet and to negotiate contracts with the potential partner. 
  • Implementation in Partner markets, including support and development of sales through partners, and start of sales/marketing activities at newly appointed partners. You will assist partners by preparing and implementing business plans (Monofer® / CosmoFer®), and securing partners’ brand strategies and sales, medical and training competence. Launch markets is special focus and will require intense support, including making sure proper training of prescribers and infusion sites has taken place and that the Partner has adequate presence at the accounts starting infusions. 
  • Best praxis sharing between markets to support strong product sales growth by developing and imparting knowledge about products and therapy area, best practice’s sales strategies and tactics and management of Key Accounts and Key Opinion Leaders. 
  • To offer on-hands sales support to partners by conducting direct sales training to relevant partner staff (direct to sales reps or train-the-trainer) and support in terms of sales strategies and tactics, brand communication strategies, analysis of price scenario, market access matters and market opportunities. 
  • To analyse, segment and uncover the needs of the local markets and new countries in order to be at the forefront of potential new opportunities, which may speed up growth and development. Systematically gather and share knowledge of competitor and market intelligence. 
  • Ensure active partner engagement to ensure partner commitment, dedicated resources and optimal attention to Pharmacosmos’ products. Monitoring of partner sales performance and development, organisational development and implementation of sales meetings/conferences activities as well as Key Opinion Leaders development plan. 
  • Market Teams. You will as the business responsible for the assigned markets lead the relevant market teams with one participant from Medical Affairs and one from Global Marketing and will through the members of the market team support the partners best possible. You will interact, coordinate and be overall responsible for all supporting functions’ interactions with the partner, such as PV, Supply Service, QA, RA and Clinical Development (where relevant). 
  • You will be co-responsible for the branding and marketing of Pharmacosmos’ human pharmaceuticals in the assigned markets and regions based upon the Corporate Branding platform. 
  • You will be responsible for achievement of sales budgets 
  • You will plan and coordinate the follow up from the various functions in Pharmacosmos as well as their needs of information or reporting from the partner.

The Candidate


Main requirements
The ISBD at Pharmacosmos has professional qualifications from the Pharmaceutical industry within Sales, Marketing and Business Management, local/regional experience, strength to lead processes, establish best in class collaboration with local partners and is to cooperate closely with HQ departments such as Marketing, Medical Affairs, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs.

Education

  • Sc. / B.Sc. Business Administration
  • Sc. Pharm with additional commercial education
  • Nurse with additional commercial education

Background/Experience

  • +10 years of experience from international commercial/business management position in the Pharmaceutical industry (preferred complex pharma products)
  • Experience in analyzing markets and business opportunities and putting together sound and well-founded proposals and business cases as well as project- and actions plans.
  • Experience working closely with Partner businesses, including contract negotiations and to the partner taking on the role as a competent and trusted “consultant” in order to ensure optimal results.
  • Solid knowledge of international surveillance of markets and market knowledge
  • Good at inspiring confidence to establish strong preference for Pharmacosmos’ products at customer level, as well as high priority and high investments in dedicated staff, training, KOL collaboration and activities
  • Strong linguistics properties and ability to adapt to local culture
