Pharmacosmos is a specialized manufacturer of Iron Dextran powders for production of solutions for injection for human applications.
INFeD® is an Iron Dextran solution for human use, which is marketed in the US by Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. Pharmacosmos supplies Iron Dextran powder as the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in INFeD®.
Due to strong iron carbohydrate bonds and a favorable toxicological profile, Iron Dextran from Pharmacosmos offers the flexibility of being administered as intravenous injection, intramuscular injection or total dose iron infusion.
Pharmacosmos' facility for Iron Dextran manufacturing is approved by the Danish Medicines Agency (DKMA) and the US Food & Drug Administration.
